Different journeys, one community.
Oulun Arctic Tigers Ry (OAT) organised Newcomers Welcome Party 2026, bringing together newcomers, students, families, and community members in Oulu for an evening of cultural exchange, fun activities, and meaningful connections.
A Warm Welcome to Our Newcomers
Moving to a new country is an exciting journey, but building new friendships and finding a sense of belonging can take time. With this in mind, Oulun Arctic Tigers Ry organised the Newcomers Welcome Party to help newcomers connect with the local community and feel at home in Oulu.
The event created a friendly and welcoming environment where participants could meet new people, share experiences, and celebrate different cultural backgrounds.
An Evening of Fun, Culture, and Connections
The programme featured a variety of cultural activities, an exciting Kahoot quiz, delicious food, and plenty of opportunities for joyful conversations.
Beyond the entertainment, the event offered participants a chance to interact with people from different backgrounds, exchange experiences, and develop new friendships.
The enthusiasm and active participation of everyone present made the celebration memorable.
Building a Stronger Community Together
At Oulun Arctic Tigers Ry, we believe that community activities play an important role in bringing people together and creating a sense of belonging.
Through sports, cultural events, and social gatherings, our organisation strives to encourage community participation, intercultural understanding, and meaningful connections among people living in Oulu.
The Newcomers Welcome Party 2026 was another opportunity to put these values into practice.
Thank You for Making It Special!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event.
A special appreciation goes to our dedicated volunteers and organisers for their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment.
To all our newcomers, welcome to the OAT family! We look forward to sharing many more memorable moments together.
