Who We Are?

We are a group of people primarily from the Oulu Bengali community (Bangladeshi Group) who are passionate about sports and social growth. With this vision in mind, we have established this group, which is predominantly supported and run by our community. Our aim is to foster a sense of togetherness and celebrate various social and cultural activities, including festivals like Eid, Pahela Baishakh, Victory Day, Mother Language Day, and more.

Oulun Arctic Tigers Ry is a club made up mostly of people from the Bangladeshi community stays in Oulu. We want to help people connect with each other, grow together, and ensure physical and mental health. We do this by organizing events where people can learn about each other’s cultures, play sports together, and have fun. Our club is open to everyone, no matter where they come from.

This club started with 18 people who especially loved playing football. They wanted to create a registered club so they could keep playing together in indoor facility. They wanted to create a place where Bengali people could come together, and enjoy sports activities.

Oulun Arctic Tigers is operated by a group of people called the Elected Executive Committee. Every year, members vote to choose who will be on this committee on which position. They make decisions about what activities we’ll do and how the club will run. Financially, members contribute money through membership fees and sports fees. This helps us keep the club running smoothly and independently.
